The Volanti SIGN32 and SIGN42 are set-and-forget robust outdoor rated sunlight readable "zero power" digital signs designed to go where and when they are needed. Ideal for emergency situations they require no power to display an image, power is only required to change the image, and a handheld battery is all it needs.
Replace printed signs, now one digital sign does it all - store multiple emergency messages or create a new one on site and use a handheld battery or other 12V USB-C power to change the message, disconnect the battery and the sign is set, the message stays on display. Alternatively connect power, run a playlist of images or add new sign designs; for night viewing there is a built-in display light. In any case, the image will stay on the display without power.
A typical use might be a temporary sign to direct people or traffic at an event or incident. Connect power, use an app from a laptop or portable device to quickly create a message, send it to the screen. Then disoconnect power and mount the screen where needed. That is it.
The SIGN Portable displays include the following
Reflective Display
Power to Change Image
Ultra sharp images
Water & dust sealed
Aluminum Front & Back
IK08 Impact Rated
Portable
Place Anywhere
Hang Anywhere
The SIGN32 and SIGN42 are IP65 rated and suitable for all weather conditions. The image can be setup so it can be updated using USB memory stick, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular (LTE) or configured to collect new content from a remote server. With a constant source of power the display can cycle through a slideshow of images.
Actual photos below are shown in sunlight to emphasize that this is a sunlight readable display technology. Even though it is digital, and changeable as with other displays, it is based on real printing pigments. For an explanation of the technology see: www.eink.com/electronic-ink
SIGN32 display has a carry handle, stand and choice of mounting points
SIGN32 uses zero power to keep showing the last image on the screen. Remove the power and the last image shown will remain on the screen. Really, zero power.
SIGN32 can advance to the internally stored next track or new content can be created and written to the display, a 12V USB-C handheld powerbank or other 12V source can be used.
Create content for landscape or portrait and position the display as needed
Feel free to write on the screen using a standard whiteboard dry erase marker and wipe off to clean like a whiteboard (caution: permanent markers are permanent)
The SIGN32 and SIGN42 are unique in not requiring power to maintain their image. Power is only required to change the image on the display, and this is minimal so an off-the-shelf USB-C powerbank is adequate to power the display to change the image. In our test a 65W model changed the display content over 1,200 times on a single charge. If you want to run a playlist for an extended period you may need a more substantial power or continuous power supply. Also using the edge-light for viewing in low light conditions will require power.
